10/30 Avoca, Tasmania

October 30, 2014
Avoca, Tasmania

Avoca is a teeny tiny little town between Launceston and Bucheno.  We were tired of driving, so we stopped for coffee.

The only issue is the lack of wifi on the road and in these tiny towns.

It turns out that the place we stopped is multipurpose.  It was the gas station, information center, cafe, general store and museum for the town.  Whew!

The flamingos' beaks are pointing at Launceston and Bicheno.

Russ decided to have a nice coffee and it was cold and tastey.

Here we were in the middle of nowhere and my cappuccino was served in a beautiful cup and saucer with a doily.  I love this place!

The town had a Post Office and the remains of another old building.  If you look closely at the end of the wall it was built with real quoins.  Nice!

While we were there a log trucker stopped in.  We saw quite a few huge logs in Tasmania.  The other car in front of the truck was also just stopping in while driving thru.
