The Point Restaurant, Albert Park, Australia

October 3, 2014
Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia

After a train/tram ride and a long walk ending in Albert Park, we enjoyed a late lunch at The Point.

The view of Albert Lake from the restaurant is awesome!

This is black swan breeding season, so we saw lots of fuzzy baby swans.

We were told that The Point is the best steak restaurant in Melborne.  They currently have a fixed price lunch which is perfect for us!

My handsome, happy hubbie!

Main - Cobia, chorizo, romesco sauce, fennel purée and diamond clams

Amazing presentation and divine flavors!

Entree - Freshly shucked oysters with mignonette dressing.

The dressing was extremely light but really enhanced the flavor of the oysters

Entree - Braised lamb shank, pickled carrots and parsnip purée

Lamb is very popular in Australia and they really know how to prepare it deliciously!

Main - Wagyu Scotch Fillst, shin (cylinder) and potatoes

The beef was incredibly tender and tastey.  I have no idea what the shin was, but I loved the potatoes which were made up of many layers :)

Salt and pepper

Dessert - Pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice cream and a cup of cappuccino

Super light and scrumptious soufflé.  The football shape is a tiny scoop of yummy ice cream...I would like more, please!

Departing The Point and heading back home.  Ahhhhhh :)
