Because Russ's actual birthday, the 12th, was quite a full day, he decided to pass on dinner.
Instead he requested a special lunch at Chandon Domaine :)
It was an overcast day as we drove to The Yarra Valley, but beautiful in its own way

The typical tasting includes 6 still and sparkling wines. We tasted fourteen. Martin was feeling especially generous. We told him we planned to take the 1:00pm tour and he said not to worry. The tours were now self guided, so we could tour whenever we pleased.
We are one happy couple!
We purchased a 2012 Shiraz and a 2013 Sauvignon Blanc.

Russ chose a glass of the Chandon Cuvée Riche NV. He is a happy birthday boy!
I chose the sparkling wine paired with my salmon, the 2010 Chandon Vintage Brut. It was perfect.
Russ had a scrumptious seafood chowder

Now it is time for our self guided tour
We have visited Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley, California and Yarra Valley, Australia. Now we'll have to go see the rest!
All the tour information is now on touch screens. I miss the actual tour guides so you could interact and ask questions. I guess I am showing my age.
