Lorne, Australia
Teddy's Lookout in Lorne to Lavers Hill
All along the Great Ocean Road there are fantastic views, bit this is one of the best so far!
We asked an Australian guy to take our photo and ended up chatting a while. He told us we take the road to Otway lighthouse, along the Great Ocean Road, as it was a great place to see Koalas.
I said the view here was awesome and he told me Australians would say "It's a ripper!". We are slowly learning the Australian lingo :)
Selfie at Lorne Front Beach
My very handsome husband!
When we arrived at the beach, I thought we were walking on a man made concrete walkway that had been partially washed away by the ocean and the sand.
The designs were spectacular!
But when we walked all the way to the waters edge, the same pattern was on the ocean rocks, so,it all must be natural. My friend Kevin Schweitzer would love this pattern, as I do.
The wind was howling thru and my hair was all lover the place.
We could have spent the whole day exploring this beach, but we had a big drive ahead of us.
We tried to buy gas in Apollo Bay, but the pumps were under renovation. We had 1/4 tank so we'd just buy gas in the next town.
Yup, that is the Australian version of AAA putting enough gas in our tank to make it to the next gas station...and we are off to see the Twelve Apostles :)
