Three Gili Islands
We chartered an outrigger to snorkel around the three nearby islands with our captain "Mus" (sounds like Moose)
The water was crystal clear and you could see straight to the bottom of the ocean from the boat
We started the day by watching the guys push the boat off the land using large water bottles as rollers
The ride from Senggigi, Lombok to Gili T took about an hour and we saw fishermen along the way
There were schools and schools of small fish on the reef, but I need to work on my underwater photo skills :). The photos I took just do not do justice to the beauty my eyes saw.
There was so many different types of coral and the colors were vivid purples whites and blue tipped caramel brown...all colors which do not appear in my photos :(
I'll practice!!!
And include better underwater snaps next time :)
You might need a better camera, then!! LoL Good they were re-purposing for those old water bottles...

DeleteWow - Swimming in Bali seems so long ago. The ocean is one block from us here in Sandringham, Australia - but it is COLD! The camera has been great, but there was definitely a learning curve. The weather her (outside Melbourne) changes so rapidly that I am very glad I bought a waterproof camera. It starts raining here with little to no warning.
